Yes, kernel is recompiled using Debian's sources and config, with AUFS added.

Slax 11.2.0 ISOs were tried to update to Kernel 5.17-rc5 with AUFS patch "5.x-rcN-20220221".

how do I make slax's savechanges command recognize all changes?

For example adding chrome addons is not recognized by the savechanges command and I have to manually add chrome addons during runtime every time.

Thanks for the new release. it fixes issues with newer LAN drivers.

I thought slax would never release a version again, but the new version is out and I'm very happy. Great distro I wish it could be installed on hard disk as well.

efi loader seems to halt in virtualbox and not detected on real hardware.
what am I missing?

There is a bug in EFI in Slax which makes it unable to boot on some devices.
It has been addressed and next release should have it fixed.

commenting from slax v9. i have tried to correct the efi bug in v11. any suggestions other than waiting for the next release? this device doesn't boot EFI. when i install the "bootinst.sh" to a ext4 formatted usb stick the EFI folder moves out of Slax/boot to a new EFI/boot folder. have copied contents to the now empty EFI folder in slax/boot no change. looked at syslinux.cfg to see if vmlinuz has .efi and it doesn't. have tried formatting usb stick as fat 32, and still no luck. have made a stick with mkusb and still no joy. i love Slax and would really like to make it work without buying a new device or waiting for a release that is compatible with my current device. thank you.

i dont know what happen in my pc. slax 11 error. keyboard and mouse no respond. i cant switch to tty. at first gui load glitch and then normal but keyboard and mouse not respond. power button also not respond except force off(hard).
debian 11 can run normally on my pc.

Yes but as in other previous versions of slax, on my win 7 after loading everything comes to the spinning circle animation and then the screen stays black, maybe it can't set the right resolution, however I see all the uploads OK desktop stays black, how to do?

Hi: I tried installing Slax on a hard drive. It worked great as the only OS. But I couldn't figure out how to make it dual boot. Any suggestions

I use grub4dos to dualboot.

Hello! I'm still looking for the optimal system for my old updated Toshiba L 35. There are three systems on the hard drive: 1 - FreeBSD 14, 2 - Debian 14. 3 - Slax 12.2.0, plus 4 - swap partition and 5 - Fat 32 partition for data exchange between systems. So far Slax is winning the competition, but I'm having trouble with bootsng it directly. :-). By the way, I can help with the translation of the interface, website pages and manuals into Russian or Ukrainian languages.
